BIOGRAPHY

About the Artist

The early years of my art career were pursued following a long business career. I studied at the Ontario College of Art and with leading International artists. I began as a watercolourist, but was persuade to switch to acrylics by one of my teachers very early on. I respond to the acrylic medium on canvas as it suits my impulsive nature and need to work intuitively and quickly, bringing in assorted other mediums and materials. My abstract works have been well received and have provided the necessary encouragement to stretch and test my abilities.

Representation over the years has included fine galleries in Toronto, Victoria, and Vancouver , B.C. Canada. Private collections are in Canada, USA, Europe and Japan.

Career Highlights

Represented by several galleries on the West Coast of Canada.

Included in numerous regional, national and international competitive Exhibitions.

Invited by an International Jury, to represent Canada, at the 2003, 2007 Biennale Dell’Arte Internazionale Contemporanea, Firenze, Italy.

Recipient of several merit awards at regional and international Exhibitions.
